Here's a review that appeared in Peter E. Blau's March Sherlockian Newsletter: Michael A. Hoey's ELVIS,SHERLOCK & ME: HOW I SURVIVED GROWING UP IN HOLLYWOOD is written with humor and style, about the author's interesting career in Hollywood, but (more important for Sherlockians) it offers an excellent account of the stage and screen career of his father, Dennis Hoey, who played Lestrade in six of the Basil Rathbone films made by Universal in the 1940s.
